How gifts are counted
Combos, battles, guests and the things we leave out on purpose.
We count while the live is running
Our collector stays connected to a tracked live and writes down each gift as TikTok announces it: who sent it, to whom, which gift and how many. Totals are built from those records, so every number can be traced back to individual gifts.
Combos count once
Some gifts can be sent in a streak. The screen shows 1, 2, 3… as the sender keeps tapping. TikTok repeats the same gift several times while the streak grows. We count the streak once, at its final size, times the gift’s price.
Gifts that are sent as a single batch, like “×10”, count as ten.
What we leave out on purpose
| Thing | Why it isn’t in the diamond total |
|---|---|
| Battle points | They measure a battle between two creators. They are not diamonds. |
| Fan tickets | TikTok reports them as a number that moves around, not as a running total of gifts. |
| Viewer counts and likes | They are not gifts. |
Guests on screen
When other people are in the guest window, a gift can be addressed to one of them instead of the host.
- A gift addressed to the host counts in full.
- A gift addressed to someone else counts 30% for the host. Recent gifts marks it with 30% and shows who sent it and who received it, for example juniormanella → CrisGueges.
- The other 70% stays with the person who received it. That part is not added to this creator’s ranking.
Which gifts are listed on a profile
Every gift counts in the totals. The Recent gifts list on a creator’s profile shows only gifts worth 5,000 diamonds or more (about $25), the latest 50. This keeps the page fast and the list worth reading.
A combo counts as one gift at its final size, so ten Galaxy gifts in a row can qualify even though a single Galaxy doesn’t. The list marks them as “Combo ×10”. A gift sent to someone else in the window is listed the same way, with a 30% mark and the path from sender to recipient. Top gifters shows the top 50 for the period you pick. Both lists are split into pages of 10.
Where a creator’s history starts
History begins when someone starts tracking. If you see a creator with a short history, it is because we weren’t watching earlier.
